For a radiant smile

What is tooth whitening ?

Tooth whitening is a cosmetic procedure designed to lighten the natural colour of teeth by eliminating stains and discolouration.

Tailored to the needs and preferences of each patient, whitening can be carried out in the dental chair, at home or expressly for a fast, radiant result.

At White, we use modern, effective techniques such as Zoom laser whitening to ensure safe, visible and long-lasting results, chairside whitening for immediate results, at-home whitening for gradual, controlled whitening, express whitening for a brighter smile in record time, and root canal whitening to brighten teeth that have undergone root canal treatment.

Chairside laser whitening

In-office tooth whitening with Zoom technology is an effective method of achieving immediate results in a single session. This in-office treatment uses an advanced LED lamp to accelerate the whitening process, brightening teeth up to six shades in around 60 minutes.

Made-to-measure whitening trays

Custom-made trays offer precise control and optimum comfort for gradual whitening at home. Your dentist makes custom trays to fit your teeth, into which you apply a whitening gel. Depending on the product used, the trays can be worn from 15 minutes to several hours a day, with visible results in one to two weeks.

express

Express whitening is ideal for people who want their teeth lightened quickly. This solution achieves noticeable results in just a few minutes, thanks to the application of a whitening varnish followed by a sealant, offering visible improvement in record time.

Whitening of devitalised teeth

The aim of tooth whitening is to harmonise the colour of the smile by treating teeth that have undergone root canal treatment and are darker in colour. The technique most commonly used is internal whitening, which involves inserting a whitening agent inside the tooth and then sealing it temporarily. The product works for several days to lighten the tooth from the inside, and several sessions may be necessary to obtain the desired shade.

How does it work?

1.

Initial consultation

A diagnosis is made to assess the health of your teeth and gums, and to determine the most suitable whitening technique.

2.

Tooth preparation

Before treatment, teeth are professionally cleaned to remove plaque and residues, optimizing the effectiveness of the whitening process.

3.

Treatment procedure

For chairside whitening : a 60-90 minute session with application of a whitening gel activated by a Zoom laser or lamp. For at-home whitening : customized trays are made and accompanied by a gel to be applied daily. For devitalized teeth: a whitening product is placed inside the tooth for a harmonious result.

4.

Fitting and adjustment

Advice is provided to prolong results, including recommendations on diet and tooth care.

did you know ?

What's the difference between a made-to-measure splint and an industrial splint ?

  • A custom tray is made from impressions of your teeth, ensuring a perfect fit and even application of whitening gel, for optimal results.
  • An industrial tray is a standard, prefabricated solution often used for home treatments. Although more economical, it offers a less precise fit and potentially less uniform results.

Is tooth whitening suitable for everyone ?

Whitening is generally safe and effective, but is not recommended for :

  • Children under the age of 16.
  • Pregnant or breast-feeding women.
  • People with untreated cavities, gum disease or very sensitive teeth.

A preliminary consultation will enable us to assess your eligibility and tailor the treatment to your needs.

How long do the results of tooth whitening last ?

Results can last between 1 and 3 years, depending on your eating and oral hygiene habits. To prolong the radiance of your smile, we recommend good dental hygiene, avoiding colouring foods and regular visits to your dentist. Periodic touch-ups, particularly with splint, can also be carried out to maintain whiteness.

Is tooth whitening painful ?

No, the modern techniques used in our practices, such as Zoom laser whitening, are designed to minimise discomfort. For patients with sensitive teeth, specific products are applied to reduce sensitivity during and after treatment. Any discomfort generally disappears within a few hours.
